Casey
Murphy, M.D.
Born and raised in Kenner, LA, Casey earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from LSU and attended LSU Medical School in New Orleans. He completed his residency and was selected as the Chief Resident of the LSU Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation program. During residency, he was nominated for Resident of the Year and selected as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society. After being selected as Chief Fellow, he completed an accredited LSU Pain Medicine Fellowship. He is ABMS Board Certified in Pain Medicine as well as Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He continues teaching as the Program Director / CEO of the LSU Pain Medicine Fellowship in New Orleans. He holds faculty positions at LSU & Tulane Medical Schools. He is an active member and fellow of the American Academy of PM&R and the American Academy of Pain Medicine. His research interests include lumbar radiculopathy, radiofrequency nerve ablation (RFA), and spinal cord stimulation (SCS). Away from his practice, Dr. Murphy enjoys fishing and going
to the beach with his family.
