Dry Needling is based on western neuroanatomy and modern scientific study of the musculoskeletal and nervous system. Dry needling is used to: cause relaxation through disruption of the motor endplate; elicit a local healing response in the dysfunctional pain tissue; and stimulate neural pathways and cause a local chemically mediated response to block pain messages and pathways. Dry needling is used along with therapy to treat: tendonitis, post-surgical pain, post traumatic injuries, motor vehicle accidents and work related injuries, chronic pain conditions, headaches and whiplash, and low back pain. This technique is performed by a board-certified and licensed chiropractor.
